What is a PDI?

A PDI (Potential Driving Instructor) is the first step in your instructor career. You must pass Part 1 (Theory) and Part 2 (Driving Ability) before moving on to ADI Part 3.

PDI Part 1 – Theory & Hazard Perception

  • Tests your knowledge of the Highway Code, driving law, and hazard awareness.
  • Includes multiple-choice questions and hazard perception clips.
  • Infinity Driven provides study materials, mock exams, and one-to-one coaching.

Exam Fee: £81 (paid to DVSA).

PDI Part 2 – Driving Ability

  • Test your own driving at a near-expert standard.
  • Covers manoeuvres, motorway driving, eco driving, and hazard awareness.
  • Infinity Driven delivers advanced driving lessons, mock Part 2 exams, and feedback sessions.

Exam Fee: £111 (paid to DVSA).
